Mizuho Zempo, DVM
My childhood dream to become a veterinarian got off to a good start after I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. Next, I was accepted to Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. After a move to Indiana and another four years of study, I finally realized my dream on graduation day 2001.
Being a native of California, I first worked at Founders Veterinary Clinic while I was an undergraduate student attending Cal Poly Pomona. I enjoyed the friendly teamwork atmosphere and appreciated the high standards of veterinary care demanded by a very dedicated staff. Secretly, I had hopes of returning one day to continue my veterinary education under the guidance of my mentor, Dr. Terifaj. Fortunately, Dr. Terifaj had the same wish and invited me back as her associate in 2001.
During my tenure at Founders Veterinary Clinic, I have pursued my special interest in surgery and developed my surgical skills. I now proudly manage all our surgical cases as head surgeon. Being responsible for all surgical patients allows me to focus on what I find most rewarding in veterinary practice.
In my time away from practice, I enjoy riding my road bike and attending yoga classes. And naturally I love to spend time with my family and Chibi, my cat.

Sandra B., RVT
Sandra has been a part of Founders Veterinary Clinic since December of 2012 and has been working in the Veterinary field for 15 years. She graduated from Pierce College in 2008 with an AS in Animal Science and Veterinary Technology. She is the loving owner of a Chihuahua named Crazy Legs (who thinks he is a Pit Bull) and the "most gorgeous cat to ever live" Maximillion. Clients beware- she has been known to lose her mind over the cuteness of all puppies and kittens and will often barge into their appointments for a kidnap and cuddle session.

Emily P., RVT
Emily has been a part of Founders Veterinary Clinic since September of 2015. During that time she attended Mount San Antonio College and graduated with an AS in Registered Veterinary Technology along with a certificate in Animal Science. She recently received her California RVT license in early 2019. She enjoys snuggling with her 3 pets- a 3 legged cat named Stumpy, a very adventurous Tuxedo named Kit, and recently rescued a diabetic Poodle Mix named Amber.

Zoe G., ReceptionistZoe is the newest member to our team here at Founders. She graduated from U.C. Davis with a BS in Animal Science, and hopes to continue her career in veterinary medicine by becoming a vet herself. She has always known that this is the direction she wanted her life to go, having worked with animals since her early teenage years. "If you let me, I'll quite unabashedly try to be your pets' new best friend." On days when she is not covered in your pets' fur, you may find her hanging out with her own pets, turtles Kevin and Thomas, or perhaps sitting at a local coffee shop, reading. If you should see her out and about, go over and say, "Hi!"

Mario P., Kennel Attendant
Mario has been taking care of our facility since 1995. He began strictly as a Grooming Assistant, but his diverse talents have earned him a myriad of responsibilities throughout the hospital. Keeping our clinic clean and providing a helping hand when needed, we would be lost without him.
